Bogans the embodiment of a black hot summer.
Not quite as literal as it’s tongue-in-cheek title would suggest, the Bogans collection is less Cheryl West and more modern-seventies – think a kiss from a black-metal groupie and the swing of a cape from our old friend, Stevie Nicks.
This is a range that’s all about play with proportion and textures; this season’s ankle-grazing hemlines feature on stand-out pieces such as the voluminous “Stevie” skirt and darkly sexy full length Heartbreaker dress. These more dramatic lengths are juxtaposed with the A-line flirtiness of the lace-sleeved “Peaches” dress and the raunch of the “Roxanne” skirt – a high-waisted, ruched mini that’s begging to show off tanned summer legs.
Far from Woody cans and mullets – Lara Parker’s interpretation of the “Bogan” is at once sexy and deceptively sweet and is sure to be coveted by rock-chicks and girly-girls alike.
