Mumbai, March 11- Akshay Kumar and John Abraham were last seen together in 2005, in the film “Garam Masala”. Directed by Priyadarshan. The comedy film was actually a Hindi remake of the 1985 release “Boeing Boeing”, a Malayalam film. Akki even bagged a film fare award for the best actor in a comic role.
The duo, enacted the characters of photographers. John was a character named Shyam aka Sam, and Akshay portrayed a character named Mac.
Now, this freaky pair has teamed up for David Dhawan’s son, Rohit Dhawan’s maiden directorial venture named “Desi Boyz”. Already, the film has hit the floors, and a part of the film’s shooting is complete. The next part will be shot in London.
Produced by Gaganpreet Sokhi and distributed by Eros Entertainment, the film will be released on 25th November, 2011. Apart from Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, the film also features Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh. Music is composed by Pritam for the movie.
The chemistry shared by Akki and John, in the previous movie, tickled funny bone and moviegoers were really amused by the duo’s gags and perfect comic timing of the two.
Director Rohit Dhawan has already impressed the production house, that Eros Entertainment production house wants him to direct, its next film. Hope, “Desi Boyz”, delivers peels of laughter and amuses the audience.
