Was Emma Watson 'bullied' out of Brown?

Rumour mill has it that Emma Watson, who left a top U.S. university in order to continue acting, may have been victim to some good old fashioned bullying.

The 'Harry Potter' star was reportedly teased by her fellow students, who taunted her with lines from the Harry Potter movies, reports the Daily Mail.

It has been claimed that she is planning to leave Brown and transfer to another U.S. university, possibly in New York.

The actress – who has a fortune estimated at 10million pounds – announced last month that she was putting her studies at Brown University on hold, claiming she could not juggle her degree with her acting commitments.

But reports claim another reason behind the decision was that the 21-year-old was picked on at the Ivy League institution by fellow students.

Watson is said to have been the subject of frequent jibes whenever she answered questions in lectures.
"They would respond with a quote from Harry Potter. The most popular choice was, 'Three points for Gryffindor!'" a source told the New York Daily News.

It is alleged that Watson's peers also shouted phrases from the film at her as she watched an American football game.

Watson, who was studying European women's history and drama, has admitted being 'scared' that she wouldn't fit in

when she arrived at the university in September 2009.

Emma Watson is the new face of Lancome

Emma Watson has finally confirmed that she is the new new face of Lancome.

The 'Harry Potter' actress' took to Twitter last week to hint, "A new venture is starting - what can it be? Follow my clues and you will see..."

This was followed with rhymes including: ''I'll pierce your skin if you hold me wrong but I'll love you forever if you pass me on,'' which alluded to Lancome's logo—a rose.

Emma also referred to a previous face of Lancome, Julia Roberts, with the tweet: "This Pretty Woman was their latest recruit. Other great actresses have previously followed suit."

All was finally revealed this evening with the statement: "It starts with an L and ends with an E. I'm sure you have guessed the new face of Lancôme is me!" reports the Daily Mail.

In a statement, company president Youcef Nabi said: "Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancome." (ANI)

Emma Watson postpones studies for acting

London, March 8 – Actress Emma Watson has postponed her studies to focus on acting.

Contactmusic.com reports that Watson had enrolled herself into prestigious Brown University to study literature, but has put this on hold to concentrate on acting projects.

‘As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible,’ Watson wrote on her website.

‘I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects,’ she added.

‘I will still be working towards my degree…it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought,’ she wrote.
