Pattinson to join acting school

Actor Robert Pattinson, who is dating "Twilight Saga" co-star Kristen Stewart, says a chance to meet pretty girls was one of the motivational factors for him to join acting school.

"I suppose it was a variety of things - the pretty girls? There was a theatre around the corner of my house. I guess it was something I always wanted to do, but I thought it was pretty pretentious - I didn't mind the kids that were acting at school but I wanted to do it secretly outside the school," contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I just liked the environment. I worked backstage for about three years and just watched everything and then I did a couple of plays and I got an agent from one of the plays, totally randomly," he added.

'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson has revealed in an interview that that he often sits in on his own waiting for someone - anyone - to call.
 
In an exclusive interview with the Sun the 24-year-old star said: "I was thinking the other day that no one ever rings me up or anything.
 
"No one ever asks me to do anything. It''s just so easy. When I''m not working I''m still one of those people who calls up their entire phone book to say, ''Hey, what you doing? Are you doing anything tonight? Can I come with you?'' "
 
In fact, things get so bad sometimes he just stays in his hotel room - and drinks.
 
He added: "I just hang there and get drunk. It''s terrible."

Kristen Stewart fell in love at first sight

Washington, March 04 – ‘Twilight’ director Catherine Hardwicke has spilled the beans on how Kristen Stewart fell in love with Robert Pattinson.

 

Hardwicke said Stewart felt an instant attraction to Pattinson when the couple first met for their audition.

“I looked at a couple pictures and was like, ‘I’m not sure.’ He had been fired from his last job, he was unemployed, he was in debt,” Contactmusic quoted Hardwicke as saying.

“I have footage of their first meeting at my dining-room table. Kristen was like, ‘It’s got to be Rob!’ She felt connected to him from the first moment. That electricity, or love at first sight, or whatever it is.”

While Stewart, 20, eventually managed to convince the director to hire Pattinson, Hardwicke revealed she made him promise not to get romantically involved with his co-star because she was only 17 at the time and he was four years older.

She explained to Newsweek: “I told him, ‘You’ve got to realize that Kristen is 17 years old. She’s underage. You’ve got to focus, dude, or you’re going to be arrested.’ I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.” (ANI)

Washington, Mar 2 – ‘Twilight’ heartthrob Robert Pattison has revealed that he’s a compulsive eater.
 

The actor, who is currently dating co-star Kristen Stewart, revealed he doesn’t understand why people find him attractive because he is addicted to MnMs and thinks he will be hugely fat when he gets older.

“I’m, like, a compulsive eater. I’m going to be so fat when I’m older, it’s ridiculous,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

The 24-year-old star also admitted he is a fan of troubled actor Charlie Sheen – who was recently admitted to hospital following a 36-hour drink and drugs binge with a bevy of porn stars – saying he admired the actor’s “little escapades”.

He added to Vanity Fair magazine: “I like crazy people who don’t give a f**k. I’ve just kind of stopped doing everything. I never change the channel in my trailer. I just watch reruns of ‘House of Payne’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’. God, I sound like such a loser.” (ANI)
