Shahid, Taurani team up again

Ramesh Taurani of Tips, who launched Shahid Kapoor in the 2003 romantic flick Ishq Vishk, will now work with the actor again after their last project Fida, in 2004. This endeavour will be directed by Kapoor's close friend Siddharth Anand.

If all goes as planned, this will be the first action film for the actor, whose fans have reported in a survey to be eager to see him dabble in this genre.

Our source told us, "After the failure of Anjaana Anjaani, Siddharth was supposed to direct Two States with Saif and Priyanka for Sajid Nadiadwala.

However, since he is no longer part of the project, he proceeded to meet Shahid and narrated a story idea to him.

Shahid immediately took to the concept and now Tips has joined on-board to produce the speculated action film, which will be a new experience for the actor.

Ramesh Taurani has wanted to work with Shahid for some time. He signed the actor  a year ago and only now has the project finally fallen into place."

When contacted, Taurani confirmed, "Yes, we are doing a film with Siddharth and Shahid, which will go on floors soon.

It is too early though to give any details as nothing has been finalised." Both, Kapoor and Anand remained unavailable for comment.

Sarah is Shahid's Heer?

If all goes well, Sarah Jane Diaz may star opposite Shahid Kapoor in Sajid Nadiadwala's Heer Ranjha.

First choice Nargis Fakri has a three film deal with the producers of Rockstar and they are in no mood to let her do a film with another banner.

Sajid is, apparently, looking for a fresh face like someone who has worked in one or two movies max and Sarah certainly fits the bill. Priyanka Chopra is out of the picture even though she was keen on playing Shaks eternal love on screen. The break-up has taken its toll on her professional life as well.

A source close to Kareena says, "There are some issues that need to be sorted out. Though Shahid and Kareena are amiable to each other in public and wish each other well in life. Even Kareena wouldn't invite Shahid to her parties so it doesn't matter. " "The actress was in Bhopal spending time with beau Saif Ali Khan during her ex-boyfriend's birthday. So she wouldn't have been able to attend the birthday party even if she had she been invited, " the source said.

Shahid Kapoor to grow old...again

Priyanka Chopra aged in Saat Khoon Maaf and now her ex, Shahid Kapoor will grow old in Kunal Kohli's film. Determined to shed his boyish image,

Shaks wants to do roles that take him away from the dancing-dude campus-caper image. He is already playing an older guy in his dad Pankaj Kapur's directorial debut Mausam.

Kohli's film requires him to go through several phases of life until the character reaches old age. The problem is, how will the actor ensure he looks old in two completely different ways in the back-to-back releases? Last week the actor and the director were in Goa deciding on the look for the various phases of his character's aging process.

Shahid has done a series of disguises in Badmaash Company, but to show a man aging in front of the audiences' eyes is not going to be easy. In Kunal's film, the age-span of his character is far wider than in Mausam and prosthetics will be needed.

The director admits, "I did spend a lot of time with Shahid in Goa discussing his look. I can't reveal what is required of him. But for Shahid who's a brilliant actor, it is important to constantly push the envelope. He can't repeat himself. The roles in both the films are very different."

Recently a news of both being separated flashed. Shahid celebrated his birthday without his lady love Piggy Chops. He turned 30, his entire family and friends attended the party, while Priyanka was far away in U.S. This news made the columnists to suspect that the duo have broken off. Even last year, at Priyanka’s birthday party Shahid was missing, which left people speculating their split. But later, they were heard to patch up. A while ago, it was learnt that even though Priyanka is out of India, but she had already sent gifts to her beau. Before she left, she bought for the birthday boy a Harley Davidson bike and a white helmet. She had planned everything well in advance. The bike was delivered to Shahid by Piggy Chops’ employee. And at that moment, white helmet was not available, so she ordered for it, before leaving India. The delivery was taken by her employee, and was gift-wrapped. It was presented to Shahid in midnight. 

Certainly, this was the best surprise gift Shahid could have ever thought of. He was delighted when the gift was handed over to him.
