Shooting in one of the historical cities of Rajasthan has become customary for Hollywood filmmakers. And latest to join the league is Christopher Nolan.
The production unit of his film "The Dark Knight Rises" is camping in the sun city Jodhpur. Now it's Mehrangarh Fort's turn to be a part of the 'lights-camera-action' sequences.
On Thursday, the unit was preparing to shoot in the Fort. According to a source, "Various locations of Mehrangarh Fort will be shot during the two-day-long shoot.
Some of the shots will be taken from a helicopter, especially chartered to shoot the aerial view of the fort." Some of the scenes will also be shot Chidiyanath cave on the hills and Jaswant Thada, graveyard of the royal family, situated next to the Fort. The royal cenotaph is brilliant example of the fort's beautiful architecture. The crew reached the city on May 1 and is putting up at a five-star hotel."
